Since 2015 we have been studying Canada's only population of Small-mouthed #salamanders and the other salamanders they live alongside. This was the first time since 2019 that we were able to return during the breeding season to collect more data (due to COVID restrictions).

There is a new #InvasiveSpecies in #Canada - the White River Crayfish (Procambarus acutus). This large, non-native species inhabits ephemeral #wetland habitats and sluggish streams. It is now well established on Pelee Island, #Ontario, but has also been found on the mainland.
