We were delighted to be in Leinster House today for the Women for Election and Houses of the Oireachtas - Tithe an Oireachtais event to mark #IWD2023! It was an honour to join mental health advocates, our fellow members and women of diverse backgrounds to call for 50/50 gender representation in Irish politics

I'm so proud to have been part of this event . Such an inspirational day filled with powerful voices and women from all backgrounds sharing in one passion for a fair and just system.

I'm saddened to see the lack of follow up and concern on the recent CAHMS report. I've attached some images. One of the health ministers Mary Butler TD stating the report " did not find any evidence of systemic over prescribing." Which was a positive outcome apparently.

Further more we can see the calls for CAHMS to be dismantled , children and families have been hurt . There is nothing positive in that . I'm shocked to see the neglect of the magnitude of the situation. This can not be left to fade into the past. Not anymore . Irish Examiner

It was great to get the opportunity to speak at Leinster house yesterday. I told my experience of the system here in Ireland and how poor it is . We need more funding , more quality services and more advocacy. Change is needed , we need to be listened to .
