Had the opportunity to take a tour of the Microbiology Labs at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust today and it was some of the coolest work I’ve seen! I felt like I was on a movie set and loved learning the way of the Microbiologist👨🏻‍🔬big shout out to Luke for taking the time out of his busy day!

Was a very nervous chap before spending the day on Torrington Cardiac Intensive Care Unit - Derriford today, but ended up having easily one of my best placement experiences so far on the degree 😅 the team were incredible and Charlotte in particular made sure I had the best time possible, big up #CICU #PUNC19

Had a great time working with the Tissue Viability team over the past 5 weeks! Was nervous for my stomach but the ladies made it amazing and now I’m boss when it comes to wounds (not true, cellulitis still gets me 🥴), now for a few weeks in Neurosurgery to round off year 2 🤌🏼

Last week on my optional placement coming up, full gutted to leave Neurosurgery! I’ve seen / been a part of some of the craziest things during this one and feel like a Scrub Nurse is my calling 😅 having said that, I’m ready to hang up the scrubs for a nice long Summer break ☀️🍻
