Nah, you don't get to wriggle off the hook. Harris may have been a mediocrity, but she was running against an abomination. That was obvious during the campaign, & sensible people said so repeatedly. You & far too many other heterodox opinion shapers turned a deaf & arrogant ear.

Shepherd’s Pie causes more controversy than such a simple dish should. It has many names and many fillings. Some say it should only be made with lamb, but history says otherwise. Regardless of what’s in it, it’s delicious. youtu.be/t1O1hcixZDU?si…

this is not wholly why. James Daunt bought B&N in 2019 and did exactly what he did to with Waterstones, essentially decentralised the whole business and allowed each shop to act independently, instead of as a chain. naturally, with booksellers in charge, they flourished again.

I have a major fear that anti-Indian ethnic hate is a boiling frog sort of condition in Malaysian, especially Malay, politics... and urban liberals will assume is just isn't real and overrepresented online, until one day it smacks everyone in the face with real violence.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a movie about an entertainment industry in danger of getting wiped away (literally) by an evil conglomerate buying everything up to make the world a worse place, feels as prescient as ever.

Muhyiddin ending his political career as a puppet to the Azmin and Kelab Khianat Sheraton truly is the most ignominious, undignified, and totally deserved end for a man who schemed his way to the very top only to discover he was horrendously out of the depth.
