Nice work by Columbia-Richland Fire Department 3rd Shift crews this afternoon as they dealt with a large house fire in King’s Grant. Units responded to Tombee Lane and found heavy smoke coming from the property upon arrival. Fire was also breaking through parts of the roof.

Crews entered the front of the home, made their way to the kitchen where the fire was located on the stovetop. Flames were already reaching high enough to the hit kitchen cabinets and the ceiling above. The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.
