The Perseids meteor shower is one of the year's most spectacular natural events and this year it’s peaking this Monday night into Tuesday morning (August 11th - 12th). In the countryside you might enjoy clearer skys, free of light pollution. Perseids rarely disappoint!

Yesterday was international dog day. Hope those with pooches have a lovely time in the countryside of Lancashire, Liverpool City Region and Manchester. This is Scout who is as good as gold. Even so he goes on lead in areas of livestock and where ground nesting birds are present.
