It feels like Starmer has just a few days to save both his leadership and the party's fortunes at the next election. A massive reset is needed, meaning a huge reshuffle, including a new Chancellor. #labour

The Royal College of Occupational Therapists are "concerned about proposed changes to #PIP (...) the requirement to score at least 4 points on a single daily living activity. (...) it helps people manage their health, stay independent, & engage in everyday life..." #TakingThePIP

I urge any MP staying quiet to study the PIP scoring criteria properly. If you support Starmer, you're stating that someone who can't cook, dress, go to the toilet, get in or out of the bath or wash their private parts without daily care isn't disabled. Dystopian and horrifying.

This has now shifted beyond discipline or fiscal credibility. It’s a punitive, flawed policy that weakens the safety net, harms disabled people, and risks destroying Labour’s moral authority & electoral future. Voters aren’t just watching what we cut - but who we protect.

Dr Jay Watts (@shrink_at_large) 's Twitter Profile Photo

There is no moral case for proceeding with cuts without a full impact assessment. There is no moral case for proceeding with cuts when every disabled person’s organisation, every charity, every health body is saying it will cause more deaths by despair + cost more. #TakingThePIP

Does Yvette Cooper know the Suffragettes, whose rosette she is wearing here, planted bombs in St Paul’s cathedral, and went after Winston Churchill with a whip? And were completely on the right side of history? Asking for Palestine Action..

As someone who has lived their entire life with a disability, I have never felt as low as I feel at moment. Gone is the optimism of my youth and the heady days of the summer of 2012. I lived in almost total isolation throughout the pandemic and managed to avoid Covid. I voted

Keir Starmer is lying yet again. He said Labour was elected to "Change the welfare system that is broken."Bollocks, there was no mention of stealing money from the chronically ill and disabled.

Dear Journalists, when MPs say they want to get people off PIP and into work, please tell them that for some people it's PIP that keeps them in work, thanks

Chris Channon MBE PLY Pippa Crerar Exactly! I was disabled at 39, i had a promising career, I lost it all, I didn’t ask for this life, I don’t live a life of luxury. I’m worried, but heartened by the rebellion, I just hope it’s not just posturing, and the rebels stick to their guns.because I fear the alternative.

It is clear that the UC & PIP Bill cannot and must not be saved. Any concessions will still cause harm to disabled people. The only option is to withdraw the Bill, rethink and start to rebuild trust with disabled people. Not to is not Labour.

Are you fit, well, employed and living to the limit? Good! I'm genuinely pleased for you. But please remember that we are all just one illness or accident away from acquiring a disability. And when it happens it's absolute, there's no way back to as you were, a permanent

Richard Burgon MP (@richardburgon) 's Twitter Profile Photo

More press speculation about a tiny concession here or tweak there on the Disability Cuts Bill. But the simple truth is this: the Government still plans to slash £7 BILLION from sick & disabled people. It must drop the Bill - and work with disabled people on a fair alternative.

Jeremy Corbyn (@jeremycorbyn) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Politics is not a game. It's people's lives. The Government's welfare cuts will have a catastrophic impact on the sick & disabled, and plunge hundreds of thousands of people into poverty. It's simple: show some humanity and drop this Bill, now.

I’ve worked a lot on the welfare reform bill in recent months - in press, radio, and podcasts - but today’s column is everything I need to say:
