In 2010 I was working in Local Govt in 1 of the most deprived areas of the country. We were making a difference! SureStart, improving social housing, regenerating town centres, getting teenagers & unemployed into training, change for life, smoking cessation, reducing teenage 1/3

pregnancy. People had ambition, new care homes, extra facilities in communities & libraries, youth provision, falling crime rates & an NhS being built to cope with rising demand, prevention not cure & intervention with most problematic families, Building schools for future 2/3

Fast forward 14 years… 1. 1000s of food banks 2 poverty 3 homelessness 4 record waiting NHS lists 5 life expectancy actively reducing 6 crime rising 7 schools crumbling But the rich getting richer taxes at record high &£billions lost to corruption #ToriesDestroyingOurCountry
