I paid some college kids to clean my outside windows and screens, and it has been my best decision so far for 2021. Gotta respect their hustle and lack of fear while scrubbing and balancing on a ladder. Plus, my windows are so damn shiny right now. 😍

This thread has me wondering, did y’all not grow up in a smaller houses with lots of kids sharing 1 bathroom? Or were you all part of the rich families with 2+ bathrooms, big houses, and name brand snacks?

I love how my doorbell always snaps the most unflattering pics of me and then sends promptly them to me.

Going to Georgia for a week with the kids and after airfare, hotels, and transport, I’m up to $35 spent. 💃🏻 Granted, once we get there, we’ll spend on food, fuel, and fun, but travel hacking has been my most treasured find in our financial journey.

Kid 1 wanted to buy a gift for kid 2 that was only online. We found the right color, price, and shipping time on eBay...and long story short it was a scam. But it turned into a teaching moment for her about pitfalls, navigating help pages, and why credit cards are good.

I’ll know I’ve “made it” when I’m willing to spring the extra dough and time off for those middle of the day flights for family vacations.

Knocked another thing off the bucket list: saw fireflies for the first time. I thought they were something made up by Disney until I was like 20.

We got rid of our dryer 4 years ago and today was the first day I’ve been inconvenienced. Just got back from a weeklong trip and the load had so much socks, underwear, swimsuits etc. I just had to get a little creative with where to hang things.

People that feel the need to censor library books are the worst.

Came to a realization that I don’t really need to work anymore. Had a convo with the boss and they agreed that having me part time was better than not at all. So I still keep getting to do the job the I love but at less than half the hours. 👯‍♀️
