Today, a mother-of-three has been jailed for 28 months after using abortion pills to end her own pregnancy. No woman can ever go through this again. We need abortion law reform in Great Britain NOW. #TimeToAct

Absolutely horrific. That abortion remains criminal - and how this is weaponised - embodies that England and Wales disregards fundamental freedoms, lacks compassion for anybody who has the physiology to become pregnant and remains so far from any notion of reproductive justice.

It is an absolute disgrace that in the UK today a woman has been sentenced to 28 months in prison for procuring her own abortion. UK abortion law is woefully outdated, shameful and dangerous. It impacts access, prevents best care and infantilises and stigmatises women.
