To all Greek Australians being made to be afraid of voting YES to the Voice, remember who we are. Philoxenia is our way of life, we’ve survived genocides & 400 year occupations. We came with nothing, survived racism & built a new life. We understand why having a voice matters.

Again — here's how the No sausage is made. Albo debunks disinformation spread by opponents of The Voice — opponents of The Voice then edit the video down and spread it all over social media. Same as Ray Martin video, same as Marcia Langton video, etc — always bullshit.

The core strategy of the No campaign is to lie to and manipulate Australians. They're on the record admitting this — just as Liberals are on the record saying they need to sink The Voice to have a chance at the next election. Don't let them fool you — find out.

This is why we need the Voice. In 2016 a National organisation's decision around Shingles vaccination did not consider First Nations people. Almost 7 years later there is finally equitable access. Embed the Voice in the Constitution and these decisions might not take so long.

I voted an open hearted, open minded Yes today. My reason is for us to acknowledge the simple fact that these lands were populated before we became the Australia we know The Voice aspect I hope to see reinforce and support the existing NIAA Hope over fear 🙏❤️

if you voted YES today and are feeling sad and disappointed right now please do not give up. being an ally for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people involves much more than just one vote. here is a list of just 10 of many things you can do. 🧵 #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe

First Nations people issued a letter to all Australians, called ‘statement from the heart’. They asked to be recognised in the constitution. In a national vote the people of Australia overwhelmingly rejected them. #TheVoice For those who never bothered reading it before voting,

This should break anyone’s heart. Our most vulnerable, highest risk Remote Aboriginal communities clearly endorsing the voice. We will be working on this more 1. Heavily indigenous booths in Qld have voted yes as follows: Palm Island 75%, Thursday Island 74%, Lockhart River

So I’ve now had the predictable comment that these Indigenous votes represent a lack of informed consent-that ppl were voting for a free tshirt and didn’t understand what they were voting for. I’m truly disgusted but not surprised. Here’s my response: “the suggestion that

“Refuting bs with Peter Collignon & Neil Mitchell” - a long 🧵 This🧵is a labour of rage - rage against MSM dangerous disinformation propaganda, in this case Nine Entertainment’s radio 3AW & specifically Neil Mitchell’s (NM) interview last week with Peter Collignon (PC)

Is this a serious question? I’ll assume it is. Let me explain. You go to the GP a with a sore throat. GP talks to you, examines you and feels it’s nothing serious. GP sends you away but gives you weirdly strict safety-net advice for a sore throat. 1/10

I can't get over this. PAs in Queensland can administer IV OPIATES, despite not being registered with APHRA, the Australian mega-regulator. Moreover, Queensland has something called QScript, which captures the use of 'monitored medicines' in real time. PAs appear to be 1/

Reducing athletes of colour to their physical characteristics is the language of racism. It's the language of slavery. And it has a real impact. I wrote about this here... myblackface.wordpress.com/2021/02/10/mon…

For those trying to rewrite history & paint Victoria's response to Covid19 as a trigger-happy control manoeuvre, this testimony by a British crit care colleague is a salient reminder of what we were trying to avoid. A runaway death toll, & an overwhelmed hospital system.
