This is a bit of a step change for #snowplow #data. Historically our trackers have sent events immediately. This is our first venture in to client side aggregation, initially with a view to reducing page ping volumes. Interested to hear other possible uses!

Batch collection and enrichment has served us, our customers and our community well, but it's time to say farewell! The team at @snowplowlabs will be able to double down on our realtime architecture and focus on moving that platform forward. We've got big, big plans.

This one was pretty intense to see come together. One man (A), 72 hours to speed up the Repeater, otherwise we'd have to recover the data from storage instead, which would have been a pain. [note: no data was at risk of harm during this all action thriller]

Ok folks, let's talk about the Coronavirus tracking app as news of Australia adopting Singapore's "TraceTogether" gains momentum. I'd willingly run it and I want to explain why because there's also some very valid concerns. Let's begin:

Seen crazy efforts going in to cleaning and wrangling #data sets in the past. Far better to design, test and assure a proper data collection strategy instead. Empower data teams and analysts to solve more interesting and important problems. #doingdataright

The R118 beta is a big refactor under the hood, as well bringing some much needed failed events changes. This is a great achievement to get parity, and great comfort!

Looking forward to the next one. I'll fix the volume levels on my mic and leave my shoulder alone!

You can see the International Space Station pass over the UK tonight, 22:10 BST. Look west, low on the horizon & it will cross to the south east, passing beneath the moon. If SpaceX launches, it will follow about 5 mins later. The sky will be too light to see SpX on 1st pass after launch.

Anyone else having issues with the Auth0 value gradient? We were able to turn on a feature not in our tier (months ago) with a notice they've admitted is unclear, and now they are demanding we increase our spend by 2500% or stop using the feature - which is far from simple!
