Casual reminder that Magic: the Gathering is indeed a hobby and that my content is entirely aimed at helping your money go farther while engaging in said hobby 🥳

This is the core tennet that Chris and I found Conviction Gaming on "Think like a brewer, buy like a financer." The whole point is to save as much money as possible and make each dollar count I built my first Breya deck on less than $70 a week on income when I was in college

I believe Berserk from the Marvel Drop is underpriced right now. Previous foil versions of Berserk sell for $20-25 and this version is sub $10 right now. If you ever needed a copy, this is a nice time to grab it. Wolverine is also kinda badass imo but that’s another topic.

Hard to believe Shroofus is the most popular commander coming out of Foundations Jumpstart so far. Looks so unassuming! If you’re building it, be sure to grab a copy of Ruxa as a wincon that turns all your Saprolings into 2/2s and guarantees they connect with your opponents!

A few folks asked me why Hancock is worth a callout? My initial response was that I don't know the "why" other than it says "Mutant" on the card, TNMT is coming out, and I see it selling really well all of a sudden. To avoid further confusion, this is why.

These cards are showing signs of sales momentum from the Lorehold, the Historian spoiler. Penance and Hidden Retreat are not reserved list, but Conch Horn is. I'm not sure how good any of these are yet but I picked up a copy of each to test with when I inevitably build the deck.

Twilight Diviner is one of the best cards from Lorwyn Eclipsed and I am surprised by how little attention it has received. It’s a remove-on-sight card in Commander and has fringe playability in constructed formats. Organic demand suggests my thoughts aren’t anecdotal, either.

Preparing for Heroes in a Half Shell (TNMT face Commander): I already shared Hancock and it has moved substantially. But there are a few other cards showing signs of movement, too. This thread can help you stay ahead of the price swings. 🧵 1/x

I called out Hancock a few weeks ago because of Heroes in a Half Shell. Here are three more cards that are showing signs of organic demand in preparation for the TNMT Commander deck releasing. My favorite pick is Jenova, but Taeko and Marcus are also moving!

The most amazing news I got from making this post is I learned that Seanan McGuire has a new novel releasing in conjunction with the Secrets of Strixhaven set. It drops on April 7th and the hardcover version comes with a beautiful Strixhaven-themed Command Tower promo.

Absolutely wild that we have this level of clout as Magic players in 2026. When I was a kid you could get beaten up afterschool for being too nerdy if it was found out you played Magic.

Faces of the Past officially selling above $10 now for LP and NM copies. Foils also were picked over (I picked one LP copy up myself). Called it out while copies were still available between $4-6 and foils were $12-17. Curious to see where this one ends up.
