Interestingly the co-occurrence of Q498R and N501Y (see aquaria.app/SARS-CoV-2/S/7…) which probably contributes to better binding between #ACE2 and #SARSCoV2, had been structurally investigated for increasing virulence, before the discovery of #omicron.
