Last Monday the Study Committee had their first activity of the year! We had a very nice workshop given by Dim Junius! We learned how to easily create a cartoon and made our very own Commotie cartoon! We all enjoyed this fun evening. ✍🏼

Last wednesday we had a very interesting pub lecture by Hink Jan Apotheker who is head of communications at Donar Groningen! He told us everything about his job and the ins and outs of the world of basketbal! Thanks to Hink Jan and the StuCee for organizing!

Last night we enjoyed an amazing lecture by KopjeK together with Studievereniging KIC! We learned a lot from the experiences of co-founder pas and got to work on a marketing campaign for KopjeK’s newest event: Krepelwald! It was a very succesful night!

Last Monday, we were constituted as the 32nd board of Commotie! In order of constitution: Vera van der Meer - Chairman Yente Visser - Secretary Henry Hornung - Treasurer Patrick Dahms - Internal Affairs Kim van Gool - External Affairs We are very excited for this year!

Last Wednesday, the Study Committee from ‘19-‘20 organized its last activity! We had an interesting lecture from Koen Petersen about communication in effective campaigning, where we learned about American politics and marketing yourself as a politician. It was a successful night!

Last Thursday, the online ComMa Congress took place! We received some great insights about how companies are adapting and changing during the corona crisis. We want to thank the ComMa committee, the Marug for the collaboration, the speakers and everyone who attended!

Last Friday the in-house committee organized an interesting lecture by Sander van Duijn from @StoryDiggers, a company that uses storytelling as a strategy for content marketing. We learned everything about storytelling for business and practiced it ourselves as well!

On Monday the Study Committee welcomed Bas Janssen for the first online lecture of the year. He told us about how Deltalinqs works with the Rotterdam port and most of the companies active in it. This gave us an interesting look into how the largest port in Europe functions!

Last Friday it was time for a collaboration with Studievereniging KIC! Together with them our In-house Day Committee arranged an interesting lecture from Ischa Gerrits from RTL! He told us about his time as a communication student and now as journalist. We liked it very much!

On Tuesday our Career Event took place, which was all about personal branding! Josephine van der Hoeven from Funny Business spoke about how humor can be used. After that, @GijsNillessen from 360Talk helped us with how you can perform your best pitch ever! It was a success✨

Last Friday the in-house day by nu.nl took place. ariebart told us what it is like to work in a Product Team that creates products, ideas and content for nu.nl. We also worked on a case to attract the younger audience, which was interesting!

On Thursday we enjoyed a lecture about FC Groningen by Kimberly van Rooijen! She gave us some insights about how communication is used for the soccer club. This lecture was organized by our StuCee in collaboration with study association MESA. We all very much enjoyed it!

Last Thursday we had an interesting lecture about personal branding! Helmi Geeve from Rep&Roer told us everything about this topic and her label 'The Brand Me'. We gained some nice insights and useful tips which made it a very successful evening!

Yesterday we had an online in-house day by Cor Boersma and Carine Holland from AdResults, an advertisement company from Groningen. It was really interesting to learn more about search engine advertising and social media advertising! Thanks to the In-houseCee for organising!

Yesterday the StuCee organised a very interesting lecture about dilemma logic, given by Guido Rijnja & Hanneke Siemerink! They told us about the ins and outs of this communication method and how it used in for example speeches. We very much enjoyed it!

On Friday we had the last In-house Day of this academic year! This time we learned more about the communication at SAMEEN, a project office company that executes sustainability projects ♻️ Very interesting to see communication from this perspective!
