John mentioning how many conferences we have currently have universal benefits and can benefit all students

Zach, Senator asking if there is a benefit for internal committees to become external if their primary purpose is to serve Commerce students

John clarifying that context is important and that if the nature of the committee is more Commerce based, it can remain internal

Our last discussion of the night is by Andrew, Intern to the President on improving sustainability within Commerce

Andrew's 4 solution pillars include: Goodes initiatives, class initiatives, assembly initiatives, VPSA initiatives

Goodes initiatives include: compost bins, Starbucks cups initiatives

In class initiatives: opt-in/opt-out of receiving hard copy syllabus, double sided exams

Assembly initiatives: mitigate waste on assembly snacks, increase overall awareness

VPSA initiatives: partnering with Bullfrog Power (a carbon neutralizing company), opt-in for new towels at conferences

Implementation process: support from assembly, engage stakeholders, create timeline, monitor & execute
