“Antique Rose” (Sikes, 87) registered 32 years ago is an “old” flower, but this beauty still has a lot of spring in her step! 24” scapes and 5.5” flowers. A great flower!!! #daylily #daylilies

Tall scapes on “Sebastian the Crab” (Joiner-J., 03) make these big unusual blooms standout in the garden. Bloom count is 12-16 in my garden, too much shade for this flower. I will need to move it this fall. #daylily #daylilies

Another great daylily by Karol Emmerich! “Tim Kornder” (03) has a unique rose coral color and is a welcome addition. Like Emmerich’s other flowers, the blooms sit high on 28” scapes well above the plants foliage. #daylily #daylilies

“Big Bird” (Griesbach-Klehm, ‘78) came out to play today. I love these large blooms and the clean look of this flower. I wish the bud count was higher, but this flower has a permanent place in my garden.

“Dallas Star” (Ferris-R., ‘76) shined today. Tall scapes and big, 6.5 “ flowers, that hold up to Iowa heat and humidity. She’s a keeper! #daylily #daylilies

“Spainish Fandango” (Wallace-M., ‘77) still dances in my garden. This bitone has large 8” flowers. In its overly shady location, it blooms late in my garden. Its first blooms of the season were just yesterday! Looking forward to enjoying the dance. #daylily #daylilies

“Edge of Paradise” (Stamile, ‘98) is a great grower in my Midwest garden. The budcount has never been close to the 40+ listed in the daylily database. 20-24 buds is what I see in my garden. Still a great flower! #daylily #daylilies

When “Peach Magnolia” (Joiner, ‘86) blooms, the whole plant seems to flower at once. Each scape tends to have multiple blooms that open on the same day. It makes for a short splendid bloom season. 30” scapes and 5” flowers in my garden. #daylily #daylilies
