I am also at the 1st ever National Research Software Day in The Netherlands #nrsd2024 and there is quite a buzz in the air. And it comes with an art exhibition and it’s very own Spotify list!

We are serving communities on more than 4 continents! That's a lot for three years of existence! Still very USA-centric, but we hope to keep growing globally!

At TU Bergakademie Freiberg for a talk on open source software and a podcast recording on software in material sciences. The many places of research where software is used never ceases to amaze me. Here it was on modelling “groove rolling” (hint: think of steel).
