Chytrid fungi host an impressive suite of chitinases to degrade chitin - a complex but common polysaccharide & component of organic particles in freshwater and marine systems - nice work showcasing the molecular machinery of fungi which can degrade chitin-rich particles! ๐Ÿฆ
