If any politician wants to prove their safety-not-revenue bona fides they should just drop the Bowser administration’s convoluted income-based ticket forgiveness pilot, forgive one ticket/yr (most drivers get 0 or 1), and call it a day.

It's not inequitable to put speed cameras on Benning Road or Branch Ave or other roads in Black neighborhoods. Cameras slow down cars in those neighborhoods which prevents drivers from killing residents of those neighborhoods.

It’s actually fine and good to make a profit building homes for people to live in. If we think developers are making too much money then we should tax their *incomes* instead of making it impossible to make money building the new homes we desperately need.

Check out the website they built. This is how it should feel to interact with government. Compare it to @vote4dc's website for filling ANC vacancies, which is so confusing I had to write a companion document to explain it. dcboe.org/candidates/anc…

Here’s 5 min of Janeese Lewis George talking tonight about housing off the cuff. I love that she’s not only ambitious and passionate about the need to build more housing but she also talked about her evolution on the issue. Greater Greater Washington & DC YIMBYs 🏗 clearly made the right endorsement

It's amazing how the DC Office of Planning is trying to sell their plan like it's an actual change. It's not, at all. It keeps the status quo in place and housing costs high. There is not a SINGLE area in the city where the plan would measurably increase housing.

The draft plan is a minor change of the current plan. We need substantially more housing than what is being proposed. DC Office of Planning needs to go back to the drawing board.
