Offensive Principles in Action: EXCHANGES BACKSIDE Notre Dame Lacrosse Check out this neat little wrinkle from the Irish ☘️ They do a 2x exchange: -x cut, crease fade -backside cut, near side fade The amount of space that opens up is a great visual of what moving off ball can provide

Operating 2man games while subbing creates advantages Virginia Men's Lacrosse 🔶🔷 When you can catch a team in a quick sub, the extra defender will usually sit in to where the incoming player will fill. Notice how that puts him in an early help position, creating a 3 on 2 off the dodger.

Want to make your 4v3’s more realistic? This drill creates a momentary 4v3 that turns into a 4v4. Allows you to work realistic odd man rush, but turns into even situation if the O can’t capitalize. Drill setup in next tweet.

222: Hitting the Over UNC Men's Lacrosse 🚀 Your 222/inverted looks will get too cluttered on the inside if all your team is able to do is score off the dodge or off a cutting crease look. When they can collapse the defense and exploit the exterior, you’ll find backside looks👇

To be a great defensive player you have to be great at double teams. Communication is one of the biggest keys to great double teams and using the “Stay left” “Stay right” communication has been the best way I’ve learned to ensure direct and actionable communication to guarantee

how did Joey Spallina dominate his matchup vs. the best defenseman in the country? he used his off-ball IQ to consistently force Shawn Lyght to slide and switch off of him, creating high-quality shot opportunities

1-4-1 film study from UNC Men's Lacrosse I love how the TarHeels set up this goal. By floating one crease player once the slide comes, they pull the two slide into help while the backside is wide open to cut. When you can find opportunities to walk in from the wing: DO IT

Peter Laake "shoots the elbow" when trailing from X to get bottom arm leverage and disrupt the dodger's ability to shoot. If you're a pole in the trail: ❌ Don't reach or slap ✅ Shoot the elbow & control the bottom arm This allows us to cover even as dodgers get a step.

141 sliding into a 3-3 to beat the zone: film study w/ Penn State Men’s Lacrosse 🦁 Penn State slides into their 3-3, where they run a ‘nations’ (pass back to the picker/2man action) look to exploit the gaps near side.

.Maryland Men's Lacrosse held Syracuse Men’s Lacrosse to just seven goals in a Feb 15 matchup by trusting their SSDM matchups and forcing low angle shots. Expect much of the same from Maryland, but be on the lookout for how Syracuse adjusts their gameplan this time around. WATCH: youtu.be/bXz6dVXlz8g?si…

Some wisdom for young coaches. I was a Head Coach at 26. A Principal at 33. I’ve been doing both for the last 13 years. I have learned a lot about coaching and leadership; Here are 9 of the most important lessons learned: 1: PLAYERS, NOT PLAYS In pressure situations,
