Threshold training helps w/ maintaining one’s ability to prolong their high level of output. So essentially it helps u not slow down. But It doesn’t help someone speed up. If someone has no speed, do less threshold and more speed work. If they can’t finish a race, more threshold.

Don’t work on your turns for the sake of working on your turns. Work on your ability to cary your momentum through the walls. The turns are not just an act. They are a vessel for speed. 🏎️ Make this mental shift and you’ll see a dramatic changes in your speed and efficiency!

The amount of “getting overly excited to be a Swammer” thing has to be very unique to our sport. To me it shows the vast amount of overtraining in swimming. It’s perfectly healthy to be content with a chapter ending. But what other sport has people ecstatic to be done?
