The East Wrestling squad closed out the season with a 33-29 victory over St. Peter. Pins by Garrison Dierks (152), Bennett Blom (172), and Tyler Thilges (215). Key victory by #2AA Max Morgan over #4AA Ryan Moelter 8-5. That takes our regular season record 18-9.

Big 45-17 win over TCU in the first round of Sections tonight. That puts us into the semifinals on Saturday against the 1 seed New Prague. Big pins from Lincoln Rosevold (133), Garrison Dierks (152), and Max Morgan (215) and a nice win from Nick Rosevold (139).

The team part of the season comes to an end with a 19-10 record and a semifinal loss to New Prague 43-16. Time to focus on qualifying individuals for state next week.

Update from State Wrestling. Jackson Stensrud (127) and Tyler Thilges (215) both are 1-1 and will wrestle in the wrestlebacks tonight to stay alive. Bennett Blom (172) ends his season with a good match. Max Morgan (189) is 2-0 and will wrestle in the Semifinals tonight.

Gave it all and just came up a bit short. 2nd place in state is a pretty amazing accomplishment to add to a great career. Keep your head high Max Morgan.
