Got first place today at my 5K today. It was a solo run for me today so I really had to focus on myself and what I wanted. This is my fastest time in my 30s so I’m proud of myself and I felt good after. Came through mile 1 at 5:23, 2 mile at 11:15, then 5k at 17:53.

As I was looking at this video, I’m like this gym looks familiar. Then I realized as I looked at the banners that that’s some of the track championships we won at Cesar Chavez in DC. I had some great athletes there!

This is the life of college coaching. I’ve experienced this first hand with administrators who are looking for a quick championship. Some will do anything to raise a trophy. So both jobs are on the line, yours and the AD. So you have to follow suit.
