Uncoachable vs. Coachable Uncoachable players: -Take it personally -Feel they’re being singled out -Become very defensive Coachable players: -Open to feedback/criticism -Want to be coached -See it as a way to get better

PLAYERS: College coaches learn about recruits by watching more than just the game. They pay attention to body language. They watch pregame warmups. They observe you talking w/ people before & after. The best teams want people who are good fits and not just the most talented.

RECRUITS: When you’re playing, showcasing or attending camps…. Give coaches a reason to want to see you again. You could have all 5 tools and still have a bad day. Show us your 6th tool!

Players...When your coach shuts his office door to take a call from a college coach/pro scout about you...What does he say? Mature or Immature? Grinder or Lazy? Tough or Soft? Great Teammate or Shitty Teammate? Leader or Follower? Raised Right or Not? Winner or Not? Trustworthy?

Recruiting tip: You never know when someone is watching you. How you do one thing is how you do everything. When I’m walking by fields, here are the players that stop me in my tracks: 1: Energetic/loud 2: Hustling 3: Diving attempts 4: Swinging to do damage 5: Smart base running

Titans JV Softball got a 17-1 win tonight. Varsity wins 14-4 and C Team wins 15-0. Pretty good day on the Diamond for the program. LS West Softball @TitanCTeam

One of my favorite times of the year as a coach is being able to go with LS West Softball Varsity during post season. Although the season ended earlier than we wanted tonight those girls absolutely left it all on the field. It’s a pleasure to watch them compete. #greatdaytobeatitan

Why Are Teachers So Tired All The Time? 😴 Research shows we make about 1,500 decisions a day! The constant requirement to ‘be on’ becomes DRAINING to our brains and bodies. It is called ‘Decision Fatigue’. This explains a lot!!

WAYS TO IMPROVE Education 1. Stop viewing our kids as numbers 2. Provide actual consequences for students 3. Kids need physical play/exercise 4. Provide more supports for teachers 5. Provide teachers more prep time 6. Smaller class sizes 7. Increase teacher salaries

A teacher friend just decided to make this year his last (8 years early). I asked him why, he said - Class sizes are ridiculous - Too much testing - Admin was overwhelmed & not helpful 😨 - Salary didn’t keep up w growing expenses - Zero accountability for parents & students 🙁
