Another win for passenger rail! Last week U.S. Department of Transportation approved $2.5 billion in private activity bonds to be allocated to the Brightline West High-Speed Intercity Passenger Rail project. This will be a 218-mile all-electric high-speed rail connecting Las Vegas to Southern California.

Unreasonable cuts to the National Network and the Northeast Corridor (NEC) would result in reduced or entirely suspended service on routes across the country. That means unnecessary disruptions for everyday Americans: fewer trains, more delays, and higher prices.   Simply put,
