Turned my attention to the pond and getting it cleaned up and ready. This afternoon we’re planing red hearted Althea trees around it and creating a reflection area because this is where my Kaylee likes to spend her time. At least it’s cooler out today.

I won a Yeti cooler in a raffle at a local non-profit. Kicking myself for not acquiring one of these sooner. I have kept a cheap cooler in my car during summer months for a few years since I’m always on the go. And I’ve gone through a LOT of ice. Not anymore.

After a jury trial for work, we worked to finish planting trees around the pond. I moved my old picnic table and created a little reflection area. My grandpa would’ve loved sitting out here cleaning fish, listening to the radio, and watching birds. I know he’ll be here listening.

Flat tire trying to make it back home for a meeting from the courthouse in town. Down for two hours. Third time in two years picking up nails in my tires!

We took the kids to South Haven and hit the beach to beat the heat. Awesome little day trip to recharge the batteries and spend some quality time with those who matter most.

I can honestly say I’m ready for another week of work now after such a relaxing day in South Haven! We’re hitting up Ludington at the end of the month for a three day weekend to celebrate the end of another school year.
