I didn’t take over the Panasonic Twitter account today but sure sounds like I did… ps fellow lazy moms: you don’t have to give in to the DIY pressure. buy a local secondhand costume instead! signed, the mom who paid $13 for an elmo costume on fb marketplace

If all entities with scope 1 emissions were committed to decarbonization, this works (and would be preferable!) - but the reality is that they aren’t and often need pressure from customers to do anything at all.

🚧GROUNDBREAKING 🚧 We have officially broken ground on a new #electricvehicle lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Kansas. Here is information about the event and what it means ⬇️

Congrats to ZETA Member ⚡️ Panasonic North America for officially beginning construction on a new #electricvehicle lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Kansas. This effort will go a long way to ensure that we can get more #EVs on the road!!

We've signed a long-term agreement to provide Panasonic with Redwood’s cathode material for cell production at their Kansas factory; the first Gigafactory-scale cathode deal in North America. redwoodmaterials.com/news/redwood-h…

If this is my last tweet, it will have been worth it... Panasonic will source recycled cathode from Redwood Materials when we start production in Kansas in 2025! #batterysupplychain #circulareconomy bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

We can't afford to kick and scream about 100% EV sales by 2035. It'll be tough and cause short-term margin dilution for some automakers, but we must make it happen. For it to work, we also need to make other things happen; converting the grid to renewables, managing peak-hour

I’ll continue to use Twitter as my main social media platform for energy-climate as well, and hope others will step up to plant a flag. The community we’ve cultivated here now for 10+ yrs is too important to let disintegrate due to bad behavior of others.

cannot find a single electrician who's willing to actually evaluate EVSE. this is wildly frustrating. any suggestions, #energytwitter? (particularly if you're near DC)

I started selling cars at 17, continued working w dealers for years through EVs. This is the 3rd biggest hurdle for EV deployment, working its way up to #2. And there is very little grounded discussion about it. Many, many billions will be wasted if that doesn’t change.

One of the great tragedies of human existence is that having stuff doesn't make you happy but not having stuff does make you unhappy. Many difficulties created for this reason

Up and down the Atlantic coast, an increasingly vocal & coordinated movement is spreading baseless claims that offshore wind development is killing whales. In some intrepid reporting, Ben Storrow unpacks the truth--and the money--behind these lies: politi.co/44ShP9g

We reviewed this in our IRA modeling, but it highlights why assuming all land offered at auction for O&G development leads to production & GHGs is wrong, & why that part of IRA is more benign than feared. Zero oil companies bid in BLM's Nevada lease sale subscriber.politicopro.com/article/eenews…
