Rinzai Zen priest Cristina Moon‘s newly released memoir has just arrived :) I have been very much looking forward to reading this. Cristina kindly gave me a tour of their beautiful temple chozen-ji when I was in town earlier this year.

I met with a group of teenagers yesterday. One of their teachers had suggested that I talk to them about career paths because they're all anxious about exams, university choices and future work. Instead of talking to them, I listened, and the actual problem was very different.

Love me some Foucault. Still love to flex that he trained in Zen with Omori Sogen, the founder if my temple 🙏🏼💪🏼

Nobel Laureate Jennifer Doudna, a graduate of Hilo High School on the Big Island of Hawai'i and the inventor of CRISPR, in the news again. This time not for a medical breakthrough but a potentially climate-saving one! #HawaiiTech washingtonpost.com/climate-soluti…

Don't let what you see on social media skew your view of humanity. Most bad behavior is due to a few bad apples: • Just 3% of active users are toxic, but they generate 33% of online content • 1% of communities launch 74% of conflict • 0.1% of users spread 80% of fake news

Through struggle and discipline, persistence and faith, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. helped move this country forward. As we honor his legacy today, let’s remember the lesson he taught us: that even in the face of impossible odds, people who love this country can help change it.

I hate doing this. I only @ companies in public when I have genuinely tried (and failed) to get help thru the usual customer service channels. So, Collective—it's been months that I've been trying to get a response on finishing my business tax return. How can we resolve this?
