Always great to see Senator Bernie Sanders to chat about taking on oligarchs and monopolists.

I’m unsurprised the Mayor proposed to repeal tipped min wage. Or that she plans to do it in the budget. Or that she’s doing it less than a week after proposing a $1B stadium handout to a billionaire w/o even speaking to labor or making any guarantees of union jobs. DC Restaurant Workers Rising

I am adding my name to the list of 50 Members of Congress who have announced their support for the boycott of restaurants that, according to the restaurant union UNITE HERE, are not treating their employees fairly.

“I’ve been here since 3pm today & I can confidently say I know more about this bill than the Republicans”— Mike from UNITE HERE 💯 15 hrs later, we’re on the last binder of the Big Ugly Bill. It’s been horrifying to read/hear all the ways the GOP is going to hurt Americans.

If you're in DC and abundance-curious, you might like this panel & happy hour tomorrow evening. We'll discuss policies that would deliver abundance vs. those that would take us backwards, moderated by Claire Jones of the Financial Times (Claire Jones). eventbrite.co.uk/e/abundance-do…

In solidarity with NPEU and IFPTE we call on management at Carnegie Endowment to voluntarily recognize the union of workers unionizing with Carnegie Endowment Workers Alliance (CEWA).

Happening now: Fenway Park & MGM Music Hall at Fenway workers are on strike to win a grand slam of a contract! Fenway pays workers peanuts, and we’re out here to change that.

Restaurant workers are an invaluable part of any community, and they deserve rights on the job & the ability to organize a union. As their boycott continues, I encourage Starr and Knightsbridge Restaurants and UNITE HERE Local 25 to engage in good faith bargaining to reach an agreement.
