Sergeant Major Carlos A. Ruiz and I were honored to attend the 80th Reunion of Honor for the Battle of Iwo Jima, to walk the ground, honor the fallen, and reflect. Iwo Jima reminds us that peace is never guaranteed; it endures through those who value it and stand in its defense with strength.
