It’s July 4th! At last we have an opportunity to change Government and elect a new MP for the North Cotswolds where I’ve lived for 35 years. I’m standing on my record of community leadership: elected 7 times, getting things done. Choice is clear: Liberal Democrats or Clifton-Brown

This happened during my first experience of a debate in the chamber. The behaviour of several Conservative MPs was appalling. After the debate, I asked a group of them why they behaved that way. I was accused of rudeness myself for having the temerity to ask. Absolutely shocking.

Banning MPs from accepting freebies would prevent conflicts of interest arising. We are calling on the Modernisation Committee, which considers reforms to the House of Commons, to look at this urgently. Sign the petition Unlock Democracy secure.unlockdemocracy.org.uk/page/157405/do…
We always used to be able to put down a second choice when picking who became our Mayor. It meant candidates had to be broadly popular to win, but not anymore. Add your name to Electoral Reform Society's call to give us back that power. It takes 30 seconds. action.electoral-reform.org.uk/page/138315/pe…
