After a meeting with the department of agriculture Dept of Agriculture, Food and the Marine last week we are happy to have helped secure this for tillage farmers. A small help in what is proving to be a very difficult start to 2024.
Important discussions this morning with the Irish Grain Growers (Irish grain growers association)
Today’s meeting with the Irish Grain Growers was both eye-opening and inspiring. Fresh from their meetings with MEPs in Brussels, they shared the reality of Ireland’s tillage sector—5,000 farmers working across about 400,000 hectares.

Well done to Irish Grain Growers for a very enjoyable day in Laois today. Great to have politicians present to hear the pleas from the industry. Meetings like this are important. I even managed to find where my Great Grandfather grew up by the Grand Canal! 🌾🇮🇪🌾
It was great to have Barry Cowen MEP attend our open day today where he informed us about the ongoing cap debate. IGGG also launched 4 policy documents on the day. FJ Tillage Agriland
Delighted to host Irish Grain Growers (Irish Grain Growers) this morning to discuss CBAM, Mercosur, and the CAP, among other topics.
Good meeting with Irish Grain Growers in Brussels today - we discussed their concerns regarding the price of fertilisers in 2026, the grain imports from third countries and their expectations for the upcoming CAP - more financial support for environmental measures.
