Hi all, I'll be testifying on behalf of Law Clerks for Accountability at this House Judiciary hearing. This is my first time speaking publicly about my work on these issues after finishing my clerkships. I would appreciate your support and hope people can attend or watch. #ClerksForChange
Looking forward to Deeva Shah's testimony tomorrow morning.
As I prepare for this hearing, all I can think about is the amazing women who have gone above and beyond to fight for better. From the team at Law Clerks for Accountability to the women who have spoken truth to power to every woman who picked up my calls to help me prepare, thank you.
Law Clerks for Accountability Olivia Warren: "It was only after Dahlia Lithwick spoke out that I was able to go to a mentor of mine." The women who are speaking out are having such a profound impact on the lives of so many. Thank you. #EndJudicialHarassment
Leah Litman And I want to highlight that portion of Olivia's testimony because the hearing was not about Judge Reinhardt alone, it was about the federal judiciary’s failures. This hearing means little if these systems do not change. /end
Rachel Czwartacky Molly Coleman This is exactly why we started Law Clerks for Accountability. Otherwise, there's no impetus for change. People leave a year later, and there's no incentive to keep fighting.
I am honored to host leaders from Law Clerks for Accountability for an upcoming panel Columbia Law School on their important work in protecting Federal Judiciary Employees from sexual harassment, discrimination, and other workplace misconduct. We have much to learn. #CLSClerks
Excited to speak at Columbia Law School tomorrow with Jaime Santos and Kendall Turner on behalf of Law Clerks for Accountability. Looking forward to discussing clerkships, advocating for change, and the role law schools can play in helping our efforts. Come say hi if you're around!
Thank you to Law Clerks for Accountability Jaime Santos Deeva Shah and Kendall Turner for yesterday's panel Columbia Law School educating us about their important work, and challenging us to think critically about how law schools and our students can and should be involved. #ColumbiaClerks
@CLSClerks Law Clerks for Accountability Jaime Santos Deeva Shah Columbia Law School These women are doing an amazing job of raising the right questions and suggesting good answers to them. They are also giving generously from a limited resource—their time. Judges need to step up to work more fully and more openly on these issues.
