PSA to the mets and journalists that are gonna wanna talk about the forecasted G3-G2 storm for the 30th-31st ‼️ PLEASE TAKE TIMING VERY LIGHTLY. With numerous CMEs in play, it is extremely difficult (if not impossible) to determine specifics with timing. SWPC does the best

#Aurora: looks like the trend on EPAMp may be reversing, a sign of the next approaching CME. This one may be the full-halo from the M9.9 flare on July 28th. So far HUXt model is nailing it. The next CME arrival is expected early tomorrow UTC.

Amazing! #aurora views over the mountains in northern Germany tonight during this ongoing #solarstorm series. This current storm isn't as strong as yesterday's, but we could still get sporadic shows in the upper mid-latitudes in the western hemisphere. Thanks for reporting!

AR 3796 and AR 3790 are growing and getting complex. Let's hope these active regions can produce as they near the Earth-strike zone! All eyes on the Sun!

Happy SUNday! The Sun launched a large filament eruption that could give a glancing blow to Earth. 💥 The bulk of the structure should pass Earth to the west, making a glancing blow by the shock or eastern edge the likely best case. SWPC is currently expecting arrival late on

Filament eruption observed with beautiful twisting motions, followed by a post-eruption arcade. The resulting CME is mainly directed to the NW.
