#Aurora in southern Austria, at Dst of around -120 nT this event is borderline for visibility at mid-latitudes, but it seemed to work out.

Unfortunately the ECMWF total cloud cover for Fri 19 Apr 21 UTC shows a relatively clouded central Europe, but #Scotland and parts of Scandinavia seem to be in a good setup for #aurora tonight, but depends on how this storm will develop.

There is an ongoing moderate geomagnetic storm, maybe caused by a #solarstorm eruption on 2024 April 15 and/or an interaction with a previous CME. Dst is -82 nT on Apr 19 18:00 UT, speed about 480 km/s, so rather slow. Bz was -16 nT, just went back to -5 nT. #spaceweather
