100AD: St.John the Apostle died of natural causes aged 94'ish. Other Disciples weren’t quite so lucky. Being beheaded, crucified, burned, clubbed, sawn in two (top to bottom- not the Paul Daniels way), stoned (not the Snoop way) speared to death and hanged. Merry Christmas🎄

Roman’s brought pies to Britain. When I visited I noticed the southerners chose to ignore them & continued to scoff eels for some unknown reason; however the (close to my heart) Notherners began to stuff every bloody thing they could lay hands on under a pastry. #britshpieweek

Celebrating #InternationalWomensDay  -who are the women of Ancient Rome you’d like to acknowledge? I remember Drusilla, the beautiful daughter of my friend Herod Agrippa, who died aged 40 in Pompeii when Vesuvius erupted. Her son Marcus Antonius Agrippa also died. #WDAncientRome

On this #WorldToiletDay, after a taking on board some dodgy mussels in Ostia last night, I’ve been out panic buying toilet rolls.
