Productive bank hol shift with ART+ - attended to and supported a fallen patient well known to our team and liaised closely with Bath Specialist Falls Response Team to prevent hospital admission, then 2 RUH discharges this PM for assessment at home by OT/PT and supported bank hol hospital flow 💪🏼

Thank you for having me last Tues, it was so fab! Have worked alongside the Falls Team numerous times on my ART rotation to help prevent hospital admissions, help with falls prevention & management and improve patient outcomes so it was brilliant to see the service in action! 😀

For those who don't fully understand what is up with the NHS, here is a thread for you that might help. I'm a consultant physician working as a doctor in the NHS in Yorkshire and Wales for 32 years now. I have experienced the NHS at its best (2008) and its worst (2022).

It seems to me, it doesn't matter whether it's the pressure in primary care, A&E, problems with D/C from hospital & patient flow (& so waiting lists) or the pressure on social care...better community rehab is the answer. This is where the focus is needed-staff, space & leadership
