I also always thought I was good at math until I majored in it in college. There was a beautiful world I didn’t know. After learning that I’ve been in awe but math classrooms nowadays aren’t there yet. Thus, I became an electives tchr to show the beauty of math through making.

When I start a new class, I tell them that I have 4Cs aka soft skills that I hope that they will practice and grow in with their time in class. I ask them to guess what those 4Cs are. After some guesses, we have 11 on our list that will be helpful in our future careers. #edchat

Such an important skill to teach! Sometimes our STUCO analyzes parent emails anonymously when they choose to give us positive and negative feedback. They learn lots from that too!

6th graders learned how to use the drill to drill holes today. What next? One group is going to make us a workbench and the other group is going to make us a cornhole set. First time teaching this so stay tuned to see how it goes!
