Bubo, Duke of the Frisians (died 734 CE), son of Redbad, lead the Frisians in rebellion against the Franks. Charles Martel, Duke of the Franks, led a large fleet and Bubo was killed in combat in the Battle of the Boorne. Charles ordered the pagan shrines (fana) to be destroyed.
