Here is the trend in the like-for-like 5-day reporting total for the past month & since April. 7-day average up to 28.6 & will go up a bit more in next few days, but no sign of *exponential growth*. The 5-day reporting average peaked at 644 per day in April.

His statement is stricly true (3090 patients today, 3097 on 23 March) but, I think, misleading without context: In March, patient numbers were spiralling out of control & doubled in 3 days from 20th to 23rd March. In last 3 days, numbers have gone up by 11%.
