Let’s keep in mind that if Distance Learning is the plan that is put into place for your school in the fall and you’re unhappy about that, it might only last a few weeks before we’re back in school again at least part time. #thinkpositive

The average public school building is 44 years old. Some have new, top-of-the line HVAC systems. Others lack a full-time custodian. COVID numbers are an important factor in deciding to reopen. But so are the numbers inside a school. We must #ReopenSafely.

Why are we trying so hard to make this school year look like it was in the past...which by the way looked like something out of the 1920s? Let’s do school the way school needs to be to best suit the present and what we need to be successful in the future. #outsidethebox

Recycling plastic doesn’t work. The makers of plastic – the nation’s largest oil and gas companies – have known that all along, even as they spent millions telling Americans the opposite. FRONTLINE trib.al/6k35Wjr

For decades, the plastic industry sold the public on an idea it knew wouldn’t work: that most plastic could be and would be recycled — all while making billions selling more plastic. NPR and FRONTLINE spent months digging into the lie. trib.al/ZJuywJo

More than anything else, teachers want their students to be successful. And right now, many students are struggling, despite the best efforts of teachers. I know this thing is hard on students...but it is also taking an emotional toll on teachers who are desperate to help them.
