Thank you to everyone that joined us this past Sat in #BoyleHeights for our tree adoption giveaway. We were able to give more than 100 trees to community residents. The adoption was made possible in collaboration with City Plants, LA ConservationCorps, LADWP, USGBC-LA, & the theBHAC.
That's why I appreciate local orgs like TreePeople & City Plants that breaking this correlation by planting more trees in lower-income LA neighborhoods. As we push to build more housing in (already green) wealthy neighborhoods, we should also be greening the rest of LA!
