Masks are still required in public indoor spaces. With Gov. Walz's latest rollback, masks at outdoor public events (with less than 500 people) are no longer required. The indoor mask mandate is set to end July 1 - or earlier if 70% of MN residents get vaccinated before then.

When Minnesota’s mask mandate ends, there will be no local mask order in the city of Winona. The city's order in July 2020 was one of the first in the state, and included a provision that it would be superseded by any state mandates.
