Such a fun spin around City of Calgary Golf’s Shaganappi Point GC early this morning. A great muni that saw 100,000(!) people go off a tee in 2023. Amazing. Can’t wait to come back.

Took an awesome nostalgic stroll around City of Calgary Golf Shaganappi Point golf course today. As a junior member in the early 80s having grown up across the street, it’s where entrepreneurial me sold golf balls I found out of egg cartons. It’s also where I learned to downhill ski!

A stat that says a lot... There have been 300,000 + rounds played at City of Calgary's municipal golf courses in 2024, the second straight season they have surpassed that sky-high total. A nice acknowledgement the city courses offer good conditions, great value, fun layouts, etc.

Reminder: If you have a 2024 raincheck, you have until October 20th to use it. The last day for golf this season is Oct 20. All courses will be closed for the season as of Oct 21.

For the next 2 weeks, Enmax is working along the 16th hole at Maple Ridge. Please avoid of their work area to ensure safety. Enmax is aware of skiers and will be extra cautious. There won't be any digging or hole creation happening. Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe.
