A stunning lack of agency & efficacy is our greatest challenge. We don't believe we can act--or if we do, we don't think it will make a difference. That's why we need that vision of a better future + real world examples of the actions that will take us there today more than ever.

This school runs on #solar, is made from sustainable materials, & produces enough energy to power itself & the 50 homes around it. RT if every school get a solar upgrade. We have the solutions. Implement them #ActOnClimate #climate #energy #renewables #GreenNewDeal

Love the idea of a creative brief. I use a needs analysis as a foundational reference. It provides research-based guidance for decision making around method of engagement. It’s also helpful for promotion/funding later in the process. Sounds like a great book John Besley

Where would you go if you were running out of water & drought had destroyed crops? This is the kind of choice faced by climate migrants. Watch the story of Yonas's family. As we approach #COP27, the UN is working with ALL to achieve net-zero. 📺youtube.com/watch?v=7mFMZT…

Heat pumps are a big deal because instead of converting other energy types into heat, they *re-distribute* existing heat energy. It's a far more sensible way of doing things, but moving heat from a colder place to a hotter place is a bit weird. Here's how it all works.

One of the hardest things for new organizers to learn is that the following up with people, the constantly building relationships of accountability—the very things you want to get out of the way so that you can *really start organizing*—is the actual organizing, it’s the thing.

I have so many questions. How will this scale? How will it taste? But still a very thought-provoking two minutes from George Monbiot, and I say that as someone quite wary of tech-solutions. Animal agriculture is ~15% of the climate crisis and needs to end.

Communicating scientific findings to the public is undeniably important–& the future of this effort is in the hands of STEM students. But our study shows they need more support for public engagement activities & finding a sense of belonging in this space bit.ly/CMESTEM

Instead of talking about censorship, free speech, or content moderation on 60 Minutes we discussed the root of the problem: the engagement-based business model. On this special episode of #YourUndividedAttention we discuss issues with this model: bit.ly/3EiLBt1

74% of parents agree kids’ media should include information about climate solutions. But a new analysis finds kids’ media is largely silent. Read our new report “Breaking the Silence”: thisisplaneted.org/blog/breaking-… This Is Planet Ed

I'm thrilled to have worked with This Is Planet Ed on this report. It's time to mobilize #kidsmedia to help families navigate the issue of climate change. #scicomm #ClimateAction #STEMeducation #climatecommunincation
