β€œCovid zero is impossible with omicron, so what’s the point in even trying to reduce/slow transmission?” My answer: 🧡 1/

As we get an inevitable influx of newbies in the gym, don't secretly film and post vids of people - even if they're doing silly/funny/stupid shit. 1. Help, don't humiliate 2. Don't "like" posts that do this 3. Secretly filming & posting ppl is almost always a wrong, dick move.

Passage highly pertinent to the comment I frequently hear that some athletes like/prefer isolated, repetitive practice. What you like is not always good for you! From: tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.108…

The amount of certainty that clinicians have about treatments for spinal pain astounds me. Twitter = β€œmy approach is the only way”. Even in the face of similar evidence between disparate treatments, people seem to sacrifice wisdom and understanding for their own hubris.

If wanting strength and power development, remember the "3-5" concept. 3-5 reps 3-5 sets 3-5 exercises 3-5 min rest intervals 3-5 days/week Yes, it's overly simplistic for highly-trained coaches, but very effective as a basic starting program for many individuals.

If you're trying to become more flexible or improve your movement capacity, don't look for quick fixes or fall for false promises. Chronic mobility problems require long-term mobility solutions. Spend the time, do the work.

A brief inspired thread (Adam Dobson / Charlie Clements ) following chats about degenerative myelopathy (the most common type we see in primary/ intermediate care services) and Hoffman’s sign

The idea that trauma is stored in the fascia is an unsupported and biologically implausible theory that ignores much simpler explanations of why some people cry/experience strong emotions during massage/manual therapy/bodywork: a thread 🧡 ➑️

Rehab often focuses on what is the best exercises, how to do those exercises & adjusting the variables associated with an exercise or activity But can we improve ANY exercise/activity without changing anything physical? Absolutely, here is a 🧡 on how that can be done... 1/

Any clinicians on here who believe there's no such thing as "Injury Prevention?" If so, do you believe there's no such thing as "Fall Prevention" in the geriatric population? Is this a false equivalence? Asking for a friend. #pttwitter

Can someone point me in the right direction? I want to learn more about rehabilitation/training considerations for patients undergoing IVF. What should I know? Who should I reach out to? Thank you! #PTTwitter

I remember starting my career I wanted to be the best PT in my area and now idk what that even means I like to think I’m better at seeing my blind spots and referring to colleagues who love seeing things I do not Have a culture of referring to other PTs
