When we speak about systemic issues, people want examples. When we speak about situational examples, people invalidate them as “just a bad apple.” When we tie them together, people say it’s a stretch. The cycle invalidates people’s lived experiences, and therefore, our lives.

At a football game today, my son was racially abused. He punished them with some fantastic goals. His club is taking action to report to The FA. But we’ve learnt that this is not the first time this team has been like this but no actions yet. We continue to fight and we’ll win.
