Today, we welcome 6 new recruits to Dumfries and Galloway Division following successful completion of their initial training at Police Scotland College. Following their divisional induction today, they will be deployed across Dumfries and Galloway from tomorrow.

Today, I saw the dedicated team of officers from the Police Scotland Dumfries & Galloway Public Protection Unit receive the ‘Team of the Year Award’ at today’s Frank D Wilburn Sr. annual awards. Together they have worked tirelessly to target offenders & support victims in our community. Well done to everyone involved.

We have executed 20 search warrants & recovered over £51,000 worth of drugs in the past 2 weeks. The biggest single seizure was from an address in the Heathhall area of Dumfries, in which an estimated £40,000 worth of cannabis was seized. More at: orlo.uk/mWLS4
