Next Year, hospitality businesses in Wales and England will receive 75% business rates relief. The SNP are shafting Scottish businesses by not providing the same support 👇

The SNP/Greens have taken two ideas a lot of people could agree with- reducing alcohol advertising and a bottle return scheme- and made such a foul mess of both, that the introduction of either would be utterly destructive to Scottish businesses. SNP: Destroying Scotland.

Dear Lorna Slater, the proposed DRS has many flaws it will be: worse for the environment, limit consumer choice, increase costs & jeopardise Scottish jobs. We urge you to pause and revise the scheme with input from the 'real industry'. Let's ensure this DRS works for everyone

With the Deposit Return Scheme in Scotland delayed for a third time, it's time for a joined-up approach from all governments. We need schemes that work for hospitality businesses, with maximum alignment and interoperability. UKHospitality Scotland Kate Nicholls OBE ukhospitality.org.uk/news/642692/RE…

As a result of the Scottish govt decision not to pass on the business rate relief funded by Westminster, the average pub is ÂŁ15k worse off than English counterparts, restaurant and guesthouse is ÂŁ30k & larger hotels and tourism biz ÂŁ100k worse off - and now more taxes!

Today's SNP manifesto includes a commitment to a lower rate of VAT for hospitality. This is a key ask of ours for all political parties. A lower rate of VAT can deliver growth, more jobs and lower prices. Read our full response 👇 ukhospitality.org.uk/snp-manifesto-…
